Freelance Data Analyst

We’re looking for a skilled data enthusiast to join our team as a freelance project-based Data Analyst, a pivotal role and driving force in our consulting practice. As an Analyst, you’ll have the opportunity to help fast-growing teams understand their employee-driven assessments and inform their long-term DEI strategy. Your main focus will be crunching the numbers for client engagements; discerning significant key themes from insignificant findings. You’ll work directly with both our Client Teams and Internal Team, leveraging your skills to support Strategists and clients throughout engagements.


What You’ll Do

Research and Insights

      • Condense quantitative (ex. Surveys) and qualitative data (ex. interviews and focus groups) into valuable insights

      • Share data stories that enable our Strategist team to create customized client project plans

      • Conduct data meta-analysis and analyze trends on an ad-hoc basis for Collective’s research lab, including for white papers, blog posts, and other marketing materials

      • Work closely with Strategists throughout client engagements to help inform their business decisions and where our clients can improve

      • Communicate data analysis process to both technical and non-technical colleagues and clients

Project Management

      • Produce effective, high-level work in an organized and timely manner

      • Develop and adhere to smart deadlines to ensure forward movement

      • Exhibit hyper-organization with an ability to handle multiple workflows and projects

 

You’ll Be Successful If You Are…

Data-driven & Spreadsheet Savvy

      • Excellent analytical skills, including experience with both quantitative and qualitative data analysis

      • Comfort with Excel and Google Sheets

      • Expressed interest in DEI and people analytics with self-driven industry knowledge

      • Knowledge of statistics and regression is a plus

Communicative

      • Experience working with multiple stakeholders, especially with managing expectations, setting and sticking to timelines, and  conveying challenging information

      • Effective written and verbal communication skills to relay clear, succinct, and digestible ideas for both internal and external partners

Effective

      • Independent self-starter with great organizational skills

      • Consistently producing high quality work that successfully meets strategists’ needs

Passionate

      • Deeply committed to respecting and amplifying underrepresented voices
